Thermoforming

Thermoplastics are the future. A variety of factors drive conversion from traditional materials to thermoplastics. As designers looks to reduce weight, component complexity, and part counts, thermoplastics have increasingly become the material of choice.

Thermoplastics offer a durable and robust alternative for housings, coverings, and surfaces. Thermoplastics can be used in place of more traditional materials. Our unique manufacturing capabilities mean we can custom thermoform and laser cut up to 3m x 2m and up to 600mm in depth in almost any shape. We can also engrave and cut a wide range of materials to almost any shape and size.

Our flexible membrane vacuum former means we are ideally suited to smaller production runs, with relatively low cost wooden or plastic formers. In short we are able to manufacture large vacuum formed parts in ABS, HDPE, Polyethylene, Acrylic, Polypropylene, Polycarbonate, Solid Surfaces, Kydex and formable plywood. Generally we can handle up to 20mm material thickness.

Modern materials can offer virtually any finish you want in a wide variety of thermoformable materials. Decorative semi rigid plastics means we can offer designers, architects and engineers colourful, aesthetically pleasing, seamless, curved and tough low production run solutions where designs can incorporate imbedded or laser etched logo’s, contoured edges and integrated design features. The ability to cut and form solid surface and wood-like materials like Corian, Kydex or Resysta to make bespoke exteriors, interiors, worktops, reception areas and seating make the possibilities endless.

Typically products would be double or single glazed flat windows, curved windows and screens, automotive trays, headliners and under trays, screens and panels, interior and exterior body mouldings, caravan and motor-home mouldings, vehicle and marine windows, aircraft interiors, mass transit vehicle interior components, equipment housing, medical products, kiosk housing, shop fittings and a variety of display and permanent signage applications.
